2009年における死因は癌、心疾患*cardiovascular disease、脳血管疾患*cerebrovascular diseaseの順に高い(by the Ministry of Health and Welfare)。

The Health care system*医療制度 in Japan provides healthcare services, including screening examinations, prenatal care and infectious disease control, with the patient accepting responsibility for 30% of these costs while the government pays the remaining 70%(by wikipedia).

2010年1月ハイチでマグニチュード7の地震が起こった。災害としてはスマトラ島沖地震に匹敵する大規模なものとなった。G7では深刻な被害*serious damageを受けたハイチの債務を免除する必要があると合意した。

One day, two frogs were enjoying the day in the barn when they accidentally fell into the farmer's bucket of cream, and they couldn't get out. The two frogs kept swimming around to keep from drowning, they would try to climb out, but this was becoming very tiring.

One frog kept saying, "This is useless, we should give up." But the other frog just ignored the comment. Finally, the pessimistic frog drowned. The other frog was sad at the loss of his friend, but he wasn't going to give up. He kept swimming, and, finally, the cream turned into butter and the frog simply climbed out.
